I can not wait my tusk will be here tomorrow from reef hot spot.
Any acculmation info ? The fish is 6 inches, I have a 4 inch niger
trigger in the tank.

Reefhotspot is a great store. I have purchased from them before. Weather should be good for shipping in NC. Acclimate slowly, lights out.

I tried to order from Reefhotspot before but they never responded to my email. So if a store can't take the time to respond to a simple question, then I certainly don't trust their customer service.

But anyway, good luck with your Tusk. They're great fish!

It is in the tank after 2 hrs of acculmating it, fed ex messed up
on delivering it was in the bag for 65 hours, it was alive but a swam little in the tank. The lights are out will not be on until tommorow aroung 11:00 AM. Do you all think it will pull through
with that much stress on it ?

That's a bummer.

With that being said, H. tusk is a really hardy fish once they get going. If you can get him to eat you'll probably be just fine.

Was the water in his bag really high in ammonia?

I did not acculmate it my wife did. See called me and said it was tring to jump out the bag while it was acculmating.

Without knowing the bag conditions it would be hard to say whether it will pull through or not.

However, tusks are pretty resiliant fish. Make sure it has excellent water quality and it will most likely pull through.

They can be pretty seclusive the first couple days, so dont worry overly much if it hides a lot.

day one it has been hidden slightly very little movement. Beathing has settled alot. Hopefully it will pull through. It is a pretty fish.

If it's fat, I wouldnt worry about food too much. But within a couple days if it isnt moving, get a feeder stick or something and put some type of marine flesh down in front of his face.

Day two the tusk is doing alot better, stating to perk up. Finally started swimming around a little right before the moon lights came on.

MY HT arrived on time from Diver's Den last month. It would not eat for 3 weeks, then it got ick which subsequently spread to all my other fish. I happen to have a 400 gallon DT and now I am going to have to move everyone to a 240 gallon HT. The tusk meanwhile is now in a 30 gallon HT with copper and finally started to eat. Really sucks.....

Glad to hear he's doing better, seems like he'll pull through fine and shyness will be less as he gets more used to the tank!

How is the blue coloration on him, is it like the pic reef hot spot spot has on its site?

He has great coloration just like the pic on reef hot spots, the teeth are light blue, will send pic we it gets use to the tank.
