A white eye?

A wing and a prayer
One of my current fish has a "white eye". In appearance it reminds me of an older dog who has started to go blind in one eye. I have seen this a few times before and the fish in question never seems to make it. I'm willing to do the reading if somebody will give me some sugesstions as to where I should start looking and the terms I should search for.

Thanks

It could also be from stress. I had the same thing happen to a goby I added, one of his eyes glazed over and looked white for a couple of days, but once he got settled he was fine. If you have a Hospital tank it might not be a bad idea to pull him and put him in it just to be safe.

Stress on its own shouldn't do it. What you describe was more likely damage from either the shipping bag or something in the tank. That typically goes away within a few day.

As noted, the other possibility would be an infection. With pictures we might be able to distinguish, but often time supplies the true answer.

Thanks... I posted in medical forum this morning. Shipping damage is unlikely at this point as I have had him 6+/- months.

When it happened before I had figured it was an injury from running into a rock or bullying or something like that. This will be the 3rd time in about a year and a half and I was getting concerned that it may be a sign of.....well....something. IDK.:(

I'll try to get a couple of pics on the medical forum tonight.

Thanks

I used the G. Loomis logo as an avatar because I thought it was humorous. It's turning out to be a jinx. Think I'll look for another one LOL
