No mather what method I tried I was unsuccesful at getting my six line out, today, I got a day off and put some thought into it, stop by Exotic to pick up another wrasse. Lock the new wrasse half way in the fish trap, and just a few min later the six line dive right in.

If any of you like them, I am selling it for $10 each.

Here are some pics.

Was he bad? Why are you parting with him?
I would like to have him, I'll be in Sac on Thursday, can you hold him that long?

AH!!hahahah you did exactly what said your going to do..

Now I have to do the same thing.. I need to catch my Sixline. I hate that fish.. I think it just killed my Exquisite..

Both wrasses are spoken for, if buyer backed out I'll PM the second in line.

Auntbeez,
He's not bad, but very teritorial, I can't introduce any new wrasses with out risk, I can't afford to let him beet up a rare wrasse if I decided to get one.

I couldn't make it to Boomtown for the buffet Sunday night, got out late so we just went home. This morning I got some time off so I swing by the fish store to check out what's new and got the wrasse while I am there. I can send you the fish trap if you need it, let me know.

bkmorris,
I found the name of the wrasse below, this morning I just picked one out from the fish store and not paying too much attention to what type of wrasse it was.

Both can be pretty aggressive little creatures, that's for sure.

The only Pseudocheilinus sp. I would put in my reef would be a ataenia which bares the same common name as the one listed on LA's site but is a very mellow wrasse. Mystery wrasses are in Pseudocheilinus, but I feel they're just too aggressive in the long run for any of my reefs :)

Thanks for the offer Anthony.. But i have a home made trap that workd the same.. I'll try your method this eek.. and let you know the out come.

I'll call you for advice..

Mystery wrasses go into the same EVIL category with the 6-lines :D

My six line is chill. Just seems to drift in and out of the rock all day pecking at itty bitty things I can't see. I'm sure they'd tell you it is aggressive, but I'm not seeing it... Does not sound like this is normal from this thread.

That fish is in a different but very closely related genus, Pseudocheilinops. Cute lil' buggers. Reminds me of arrowhead wrasses in behavior.

Mine was really mellow too.
I liked him a lot, but he jumped
out of the tank a couple days ago.
I found him wrapped in a dust
bunny behind the stand. :(

Hey anthony, the six line looks GREAT. My 3striped damsels butted him in the corner but after five minutes they were okay thanks goodness  I'll try to post you some pictures when I have time. Thanks a bunch again. Let me know when you catch the tang :D
