What are the minimum system requirements for a laptop to control my new radions, my laptop is obviously junk I'm gonna go buy a new $500 PC to control my $2000 lights :headwalls:

I'm pretty sure any decent new laptops will work as long as you can run chrome or firefox.

Ok, so I'm posting this in hopes to help others, it seems this is a common problem. I have an I phone and I pad but the problem with those is you need to also purchase a reef link to use them as your controller due to the fact that you can't hook up a USB cord to them. So not being able to obtain a reef link without ordering one, I purchased a new laptop....because nobody likes to wait lol. The laptops now all come with windows 8 installed which worked fine. Initially I tried to download the connection manager using the latest version of Firefox and for one reason or another it didn't work, so I switched to google chrome and had no further problems, until I tried setting the clock on the ecosmart website. Now keep in mind that this is all taking place over the weekend when ecotech is closed so the only help I had was limited to u tube and reefcentral, when you set the clock on the website you have to click the custom button and set from there then click the program all button not the regular program button, most info that I found on this instructed you to do the exact opposite and time and time again it didn't work. Hopefully someone else who has this problem will find this through their search as when I was looking there was limited info on this topic. I hear great things about ecotechs customer service....but with their customer service dept being closed on weekends it doesn't help much as most people with these questions most likely need the answers over the weekend, I'm hoping that in the near future that aspect of their company changes as they put out the most technologically advanced, top of the line products. I must say that now that my lights are set, they completely blow the t5s out of the water and the concept of being able to controll them via the web means the possibilities with theses systems are endless and will only grow with the times. Minus the little hiccups along the way, all in all it was a fairly easy setup and I would reccomend these systems to anybody in the hobby.

I don't know why people make such a big deal out of changing the time. It really is very easy once you are connected to ESL properly.
There is no need to do anything except push the "program" button period. It then resets your lights to the schedule you already have and while doing so picks up the correct time.
