I am acclymating some new clams and just turned the lights on to discover my queen conch has snagged a hitchhiker, a very expensive one at that.<a href="http://myspacetotal.com/" title="Image Hosting @ MySpace Total"><img border=0 src="http://myspacetotal.com/uploads/images/2007-05-03/h36HfZ3xE0.jpg" /></a> <div style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:0px"><a href="http://myspacetotal.com/" target="_self"><img src="http://reefcentral.com//forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"/></a></div>

the conch must have been napping a little too long and now the derasa has attached and the conch is dragging it all over the tank.:eek1: what should I do???

Thanks,
Chris

lol, that is good. i'm surprised the clam hasn't let go.

use a razor blade or sharp knife to cut the byssal thread, as far from the clam as you can. ( so right on the conch's shell )

Skinz, I gotta agree with metalManiac. Please resize your photos. Same with your other post. They're just too hard to see. I recommend a 640x480 resolution or 800x600 maximum.

These are just too big, and it makes it hard for us to help.
