ABC Reefs is AWESOME!! Yay Syracuse!

I've been out of the loop for a while now but JUST today found out about ABC Reefs in Syracuse. I had to drive up today to see for myself. FINALLY a reasonable reef shop in Syracuse. I was getting really tired of having to drive 2 hours to get to Carribean Forest and The Reef Shoppe in Rochester. There are a couple of small places closer that are not at all nice, but ABC is great!! They have an attentive and apparently knowledgeable staff, a great selection of livestock, some great display tanks. Overall I was very pleased. If I had to make any suggestions I might say that they should try to stock some of the better reef related books/magazines. Otherwise they seemed to have a decent selection of necessary supplies on top of a great fish/coral selection. As you can probably tell, I'm totally excited about a decent shop nearby!!

The folks at ABC made it getting started easy by VERY reasonably drilling my tank on a weekend when I was available.

Yes between the three of them they have a very diverse knowledge base from carpentry to husbandry to over all knowledge of corals and fish(won't try to sell you the huge tang for your 29 gal) and then swinging back to dry goods pricing deals they are very cool! Always friendly-they will email you the deals of the week and if nothing else the look down w/ plasma light must be seen by reefers and non reefers alike. Give them a try-they are worth most traveling time in the cny area.

Quite often the have some species of fish and corals that my limited experience has never let me see before. I bought a huge snail fom them that has some sort of worms(coco?) that live on its shell(sorry Jer I forget the name you gave me for it)
