I have 2 175 halides retro and would like to add 4 T5's w/ ind. reflectors. I have an 80 gal, but can't add the 4 without cutting the metal part of my halide retro. Could I cut the sides of the retro without the halides overheating the T5's too much? I have 2 fans blowing into my canopy.
Basically the halides have a reflectors around them, but they also have a metal , heat deflector I think, that is beyond the reflectors. That is the part I want to cut off.
