? about buying perculas online

When available in small, medium, and large which two do you buy in hopes of them becoming a mated pair:

2-small?

1-medium, 1-small?

1-large, 1-small?

(Size definition..small, 3/4"- 1 1/4" medium 1 1/4"- 2", large 2"-3"

I have purchased 2 small true perks from Reefermadness, after less then a year they have spawned, see thread I started about them.
Getting the same size in small or medium would be good, large would be a bit risky as to fighting I would think.
I like getting them the same size and let them work out who will be the girl and who the boy,(what a crazy decision to make ha?)
