? about candycane plus something else

I recently acquired a candycane and since im pretty new at reefkeeping im wondering if its possible to frag it? and if its possible how would i go about it? here is a pic:

Im also wondering about this other frag i got for free, its still quite small so im not sure what it is, maybe some sort of lps?

Softy not LPS :) Sinularia dura, otherwise known as cabbage coral. The trumpets/candy canes are very ez to frag, just stay as far away from the tissue as possible, and if possible use a dremel for a clean cut, sometimes too much pressure and there skeletons can crumble, another reason to make the seperation as far away from the tissue as possible.

The guy who gave me the second frag said it was a cabbage coral, just havent found a good picture online to see what it might look like later. Never mind that one though. Thanks on the info on the candy cane.
 
I did the same thing Justin, seperated the LPS and the softies.

Nice tank. And ya got to love those yellow wrasses!

And to get back to your question dohc97, what he said! I use a Dremel with the diamond cutoff wheel and look for spots as far away from the tissue as possible. I keep cooling the candycane with tank water as well if the cut takes more than a few seconds.
