? about H2O quality

Hey, i got a Valenciennea puellaris (diamond goby) about a week ago, and as he sifts through the sand he kicks up a bunch of debris, so my water has a silty murky look to it. i was wondering if this will become a detrament to my coral population? any info/opinion is welcome, thanx

In theory if the silt is allowed to accumulate on the corals, they could suffer. But as long as you have pretty good water flow inyour tank, that should get blown off. Cleaning your filter pad regularly will help remove this from your tank, as will using a gravel vac. Personally I use the smallest gravle vac I can find when cleaning new sand beds of the silt that you just can't rince out. Just kep an eye that you don't suck all the sand out of the tank, you may have to pinch the drain tube to keep the sand inthe tank.
