I always go with 1.5 times the amount of water volume you have.

depends on the density of the Rock you choose.
some swear to 1 lb per gallon some say 2lbs per gallon or somewhere in between.
I'd start with 1 lb per gallon and work your way up from there depending on your taste.

i should have said i like more room for corals to grow and fish to swim....i personally would put about 80-90lbs(depends on rock density as stated before)
