About the moon lite fix on a 12gal jbj

Was wondering do I have to buy the kit from nanotuners or is there some other way to do it myself? If there is could someone let me know and where to find this.

i bought the kit, and was super simple and worth the money. I think you would have to have the special little clip that that you use to replace the clip that goes onto the little circuit board.
