About to dose my tank. Any advice?

Hello everyone. I finally decided I will treat interceptor spectrum. I have a 54 corner tank with approx 8-10 gallons in my sump. With rock displacement I will treat approximately 60 gallons. I got the big dog tablet 23 mg. Would dosing half a tablet be sufficient? What else do you recommend? Any tips? Techniques that work for you? I've read countless posts so I am confident how to execute. I will set up a qt for as many snails and crabs I can catch. My shrimp also. Once that is up and running using existing filter media from my DT and the inverts are settled ill treat the tank. Wait the allotted time. And do a water change. I would probably keep the qt up and running for the week to a aid having to capture them all again. But I will also probably do a small wc on the qt within the week. All input is greatly appreciated. I think that's way to much from what I have read. I would use a 1/4 of that and then see how it goes. Remember carbon and water changes go hand and hand with dosing that stuff.

Yeah, 1/2 a tablet is too much. If I remember correctly, 1 tablet treats about 300 gal.

Based on what I used on my nano, I think 1/5 to 1/4 of a tablet is what's recommended. I think 1/4 is actually too much, but I think you can overdose and still be safe (I used 1/20 for my 14 gal). Have plenty if make up water for water changes and expect an algae outbreak afterwards. Stuff works literally overnight! It's amazing. Good luck!

Oh yea I plan on having plenty of water to change on hand And I will dose 1/4 tablet to be sure. I only am getting 3 tabs so I will have plenty. Just didn't want to under dose the tank and be uneffective.
