about to go on vacation -- protein skimmer ??

Hi, I'm going to be out of town for 10 days, but what to do about the collection cup on my skimmer? It is an Aqua C remora w/maxijet 1200. If I put the cup on its highest, do you think it'll overflow in 10 days? Other options? Leaving tomorrow afternoon--should've realized this sooner :/

Thanks in advance!

Most skimmer cups are designed so they can not overflow, when the liquid in the cup is close to full, it shuts out the air vent in the cup so the skimming stops even if the skimmer is running. I don't know about AquaC Remora though. Of course the air vent shut-off may not work perfectly. I never tried to see if mine worked or not.

drill a hole in the cup and put an airline tube in it running to an empty milk jug or something

This is your best bet. Lots of us do this.
