just wondering what the optimum flow is for these guys?

i think i have placed mine i a bad spot...not sure though...

he is in relatively high flow area, but he is up stream from my hammer coral...

torch is just a two headed frag, the hammer is a 6 headed monster, they are about twelve inches appart in my 20.

i have another spot of lower flow i could stick him in and still keep it a decent distance from the hammer (it would actually be further away)

but like i said what kind of flow do torches require?

thanx in advance...i really wish the search would work for me...

Medium random flow. If the heads are not fully expanded, you have too much flow. I think torches and hammers do fine next to each other??

i was told not to put them too close as they would sting each other...

i wonder if there is too much flow on the hammer too then as it has not fully inflatted since moving to a lower higher flow area of the tank...i guess i will drill some new holes in the rock tomorrow and move him around...

Both of mine are placed in a spot like dc_909 mentioned. They sit in an area with med and random flow. They are moved to sway one way for awhile and then the flow changes and makes them sway another. Torch loves it and has gotten enormous.
I bought a newer smaller one and it started in a constant flow area and really didn't expand. I moved it to the side of rock work and it got less direct flow and some cross flow and its expanding and growing like crazy.
I do keep them both away from other corals as they expand out pretty far and sway every which way.
