Back story: I purchased 7 small Anthias 1 week ago. They went into a 20L with matched salinity. The first day I noticed 1 had a red spot on his side. By the next morning it was dead and both sides of its body was reddish pink. I stared prazi the second day, but continued to loose them the same way. They would be acting normal swimming around and eating, then I would notice one would be sitting on the bottom with a reddish pink hue to there side, the next day it would be dead. I think I'm dealing with uronema. I started dosing ick attack 3 days ago. I lost one more after the first dose but it was already showing the initial reddish pink sides, but since then the 3 left in qt are behaving normal.
First question, how long should I continue using the ick attack? My dosing regimen is 10ml (suggested dose) every 24 hours with a 25% wc before each dose.
Second, what would be a safe observation period to make sure there free of uronema or whatever they have/had, If they make it?
And lastly would it be beneficial to order and start dipping in formalin even if the ich attack seems to be working?
