? about Wavebox mounting

Hi Roger,
Can the wavebox be modified so that it mounts with its side to the glass via magnets?

My tank is a peninsula - with all of the "business" on one end. There is a large overflow with 2 1" drains and 3 3/4" returns - as well as 2 1" inlets to two separate closed loops - all on the end. I would like to add the wavebox, but it just doesn't fit between the return pipes, or on either side of the loops .. .

I believe that the wavebox is just perfect to add the right flow, but I just can't seem to make it fit.

The whole point of my custom setup is so there are no visible powerheads or mechanics . . . I will make an exception for the wavebox, but I don't want to put it on the viewing end.
Any suggestions?

Hi Sean,
I would like to mount the wavebox so that the flow still comes out the front, but the side of the box is where the box adheres to the glass. Its normal orientation is that it is mounted in the corner with the magnets holding it on the back. I don't have the corner available due to all bulkheads and overflows, so I would need to bring the box forward about 5 inches and have it stuck to to side.

I am just concerned about the structural integrity of the box and I don't want to interfere with the way it is designed.

I understand what you mean and would like the same thing. Would be nice to be able to mount the magnets on the side of the wavebox instead of the back - that way the magnets are on the back of the aquarium, not one of the visible panes. Maybe they could do a new casing with side mounts?

It would require extensive customizing that would likely be unstable and I can't recommend it.
