ABS Plastic Reef Safe?

I found conflicting opinions on whether ABS plastic was safe to use in a reef tank, I'm guessing I shouldn't use it, but was wondering if anybody else had experience with it?

On that note, does anybody have any extra 3" or 4" PVC pipe laying around?

i hope it's ok. cuz i have it for my drain piping.
i heard from lots of people and even pros that's its fine.

Plastic is reef safe. polystyrene, styrene, PVC, ABS, etc

been using it for several years with no problems. most of our internal pumps are encased in ABS type plastics.
