I live in Texas and it's about 103 right now and the blower on my AC decided to crap on me. What can I do to keep my tank cool? Would the chlorine in ice cubes be too much for my fish? I would rather lose my fish than my coral if I had to choose.... Please help [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]

Fan. Big fan open the lid and blow right on the water surface---good for up to 10 degrees.
Get a ziplock bag full of ice and float it. Those two should see you through.
Remember that warm water holds less oxygen: if your fish show distress, aerate with a bubbler.
Remember that your rockwork gives up or acquires heat slowly, and that will protect your corals.
If anything does die, Prime and Polyfilter Pads are your friends.
Turn out your tank lights and draw the house curtains, move air in the room with fans, as well as the one blowing directly on the tank. Open the stand doors and put a second fan on the sump surface.

Fan on the top or sump to increase evaporation. Ice cubes help, but only for a short period of time depending on tank size.

If your worried about the chlorine in your tank from the ice cubes, put them in a plastic bag then float.

I have frozen water bottle's of RO/DI just for this purpose.

if you need cooling more long term... Get about 200 feet of vinyl tubing a 5 Gallon bucket and a pump 100 gph or less that can connect to the tube.. Cut two holes in the top of the bucket lid , Coil the tubing up inside the bucket with one end in the tank the other connected to the pump then back to the tank.. This works best with the water level in the bucket same height as water level in your tank. .

Put a bag of ice inside the bucket finish feeling it with water.. Prime the tubing then connect the pump and start it...

You can also use a cooler or any other container. something insulated works best...

I'd get my A/C fixed too... I keep a small portable A/C unit on the shelf in case my regular fish room A/C stops in the summer.Ice cubes as mentioned are very good, just make sure you don't accidentally create too many temperature swings.I used to freeze drinking water bottles(a few always on hand,in case) from the store instead of ice cubes, and those 3 or 4 would go into my sump ,when I required emergency cooling.I also put the bottles in a bag in case they leak while thawing, sometimes the bottles develop pin leaks, when frozen .

Hope you can get an ac repairman. When the temp gets that hot, it gets to be an issue.
