AC3 internal operating system?

Hi. Does anyone know the operating system internal to the AC3? Is it a variant of linux or DOS? or is it proprietary to Neptune Sys?

I'm asking because my tank is in my office and our IT wants to put the AC3 behind a firewall. I can access it using a VPN that way. However, I'd prefer not to have to do that. Our IT is worried about hackers, spam, etc. If I can make the case that the AC3 uses a proprietary OS, then I may have a better chance at not having to go the firewall/vpn route.

I'm fairly certain that it is a proprietary OS, but you could contact Neptune on their website (neptunesys.com) and check with them to be 100% sure.

Russ or Ken could probably tell you right off as well.
