OK , so I looked throu some threads and found alot of good info as to what I have been looking for like this
See if you can telnet to it. Open a command prompt and type in
telnet 192.168.1.50
You should get a login prompt from the ACIII

I however now I am stuck after login and password
what is it asking at the comand
AquaController>

I know very little about these kind of affairs so thanks in advance for any help offered

What specifically are you trying to do?

In general, one should not need to telnet into an Aquacontroller, except maybe to run the email diagnostic check.

Hi Russ , I have just gotten the controller and would like to be able to recive email alerts from the unit and also programing it if possible

Ok yes I have just manages to bring up what seems to be the AC3 home page. thanks

Re: AC3 internet start up

Looks like version 3.3 of the firmware. The first thing you should do is upgrade to the latest, v3.4. You can download it from this page. http://www.neptunesys.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=49&Itemid=48

You can also download the user manual if needed.

After you download the firmware archive unzip it then read the README file for instructions to update the firmware and web pages. Among numerous new features will be a new option on the main AC3 web page for network setup. This page also has email setup on it which makes it much easier than doing through the front panel menus.

Did you actually extract the contents of the downloaded file? Or are you maybe viewing the contents of the archive in WinZp, and ran AC3loader that way?

If you did fully unzip the downloaded file, check to see if the aqua.bin file is actually there in the folder where you extracted the zipfile contents.

There should be 4 files (ac3loader.exe ac3loader.ini aqua.bin readme.txt) and one folder called 'www'

Ok, I unzipped the file and then rerun the ac3loader and have now recived this
Error at socket(): 10060

I would like to thank you for your pacients and kind help as I imagine you must go throu this alot

That means that it couldn't find your controller.

- Make sure that the right IP address for your AC3 is in the AC3loader screen
- Leave the HTTP Port set to 80
-Turn off any software firewalls on your computer.
