AC3 Question?

I just got an AC3 with a DC8 and 2DC4HD's. I cant seem to get any of the outputs to work beyond my DC8.

I have the DC8 set up as A1-8 then DC4HD B9-12, then DC4HD, C12-16
I've also tried DC8 A1-8, DC4 B1-4. DC4 C1-4

What am I doing wrong?

Never mind, I'm an idiot. I switched out the phone cables for black cables cause I thought It looked cooler but they were only 2 conductor....
