Can anyone help give me some basic acan care tips? These are amazing corals. I just picked up an acan called "orange crush" it seems to be doing OK but hasn't really puffed up yet. Any tips would be apprecited

what do you want to know? Treat them like any other LPS for the most part. Only difference is they tend to like a little more light than most.

I have 2 150 watt 14K MH on a 46 bow. I have placed it on the bottom of the tank in a moderate flow area. Should I attach it to a rock and place it higher up in the tank

i would put it on rock. IMO they do better when they are on the rock. I wouldn't put it higher per say till you have acclimated it though. Leave it low and see how it does. If it is healthy there and pleasing to you leave it. If it looks unhealthy move it up. Moderate flow is fine as long as it is not direct (laminar for the technical Nazis on here.).

Do you have any pictures? What do you feed yours, how often?

I've found them to be some of the easiest LPS corals to take care of. Moderate light and flow seems to make them respond well in my tank. I have them on the bottom of my 90 gal tank lit with 2 150W MH. They are even partially shaded by rock. If you feed them they grow quite fast.

Keep in mind that particular species of Acan will throw out some fairly long sweepers. You can place lords right next to each other without problems but that variety is best to give some space.

Thanks for the info. I triied moving this pieces to a shady spot in the tank to see if that helps

There easy to care for.I wouldnt place any coral that you like near them.I keep mine at the bottom of my 110 under 3 250 watt MHs.
Keep them well fed and it will grow before your eyes
