Acan colony questions

I have had this acan colony for over a year and it has grown into a healthy 34 head colony. it has been on the floor of my tank and is not starting to grow into the aggregate sandbed. Should i put something underneath it to try and get it up off of the floor or mount it to the rocks or possibly even frag the colony? any advice would help i posted pics of the colony on this thread!!

I'm a believer in elevating them off the sandbed if polyps are touching sand as this may irritate them.

New polyps will form at the edges of the colony, so if a flat piece of rock is put under the colony, you will get polyp Growth on it if it's in growth mode. Acans expand on rock, not sand. I think it's a good idea.
