i ve got 9 different acan colonies and tons of other coral and all others look good... only thing i can think of on mine is igot new food for tang and the acan had consumed some.. or new bird nest colony but it s on the other side of my 155g tank... ive dip changed locations and tried different flows... my stated just this past wed.. i really hope i dont loose it.. but this morning it looked as if a small piese was melting off. and the mouths have been open since thurs

Mine finally stopped RTNing. Lost the entire center of the colony, but the outter heads are starting to plump up and eat again. I did an iodine dip and then did small daily water changes and made sure to keep the infected areas clean by siphoning off the dead polyps. Not completely out of the woods yet, but at least they're eating again and showing signs of life. Good luck with your colony.

i just got a seachem ammonia test kit and the free ammonia is 0 but the total is.15 u guys think may be causing mine... every thing else looks great in the tank..

I'm no expert. Some of you long timers can tell me if I'm way off track. Is it possible for your acans feeding tentacles to be irritating the zooanthids above it and in return the zooanthids are are sending out toxins that are harming the acan?
