Ive had a frag of Acans for about a year now. I noticed the other day after feeding the polyps were extending upward instead of the usual inflated and tenticles extended. the only change in the tank was a high salinity swing due to the person I left in charge not topping off my tank with RODI while I was away for work for the weekend earlier in Dec. salinity was 1.025 friday morning, spiked to 1.036 monday night...
Anyway I got that under control and nursing a frogspawn coral that was severely receded due to the spike. Do acans normally extend the whole polyp or is it just not happy with something? I dont know if it needs more light since it has been healthy and growing since I got it last year. started with 3 heads and now has ~10+.
