hey guys, i have an assuie acan, but my problem is that i think my flow was too high and some of the polyps got blown off its skeleton. Since then i moved the piece.

I've captured the floating polyps and put them in a container with a mesh lid so it can have low flow. My question is, will these loose polyps grow a new skeleton? or is there no hope for them at all?

Doubt the polyps will grow new skeleton. It would be the exception for sure if they did. Polyp bailout on acans is most commonly due to low mag levels.

its not a polyp bailout, the frag got hit by my tunzes. My five other acan frags are holding onto their skeleton just fine

i guess i'll hold the polyp and hope it forms a new skeleton

I have a bunch of acans and never has a polyp reattached itself in my experience.

Yep has that happened before and they just wither away after.
