i purchased an acan last week and it's doing great, it has two heads and since i've added it to my tank i can see that there are three new ones that have started to grow and one of them i can now see a bit of when the other two are fully expanded. i'm pretty excited about it cuz these three are only on the side i can see who knows what is going on on the other side. but my question is that it always has it's tentacles out. is this cuz it is hungry or is this just normal? i fed them yesterday and this morning it's tentacles were out again. i feed it twice a week and as i said it's doing great and growing before my eyes.

They feed all night right into the morning. It would be normal for them to still be feeding in the morning until the lights come on. Mine usually extend all night and at feeding time for the fish. They extend shortly after the food has hit the water lol. I direct feed mine once a week.

tagging along. I have a few different acan morphs in my tank. I feed them all once a week. It's not uncommon for a couple of them to have their feeder tentacles out all day. I've been wondering if I should feed more often or not.
