Acan infection

Hello fellow lps reefers. I plan to replicate northernreef0's acan tank featured on 2009 totm? But his acans got infected and i am afraid that could happen to my acans too. Any advice on how to avoid such a tragedy? Any help will be really appreciated.

I had an issue like that, I used milbemax cat worming tablets and it solved it in about a week

I would quarantine and do iodine dips if it happens. Didn't realize at first you were talking about a hypothetical situation. I wouldn't do that as it can create some bad JUJU'S
