Acan melting away?!

So about 3 days ago i got a new acan frag, and the first day everything was all good, opening up and great color. Then the next day it was closed, and today i can see skeleton and its melting away. I have a frogspawn in there that also is closed and pulsing xenia, ALSO CLOSED. my favia is doing great though, as are all my sps and zoanthids. The tank is a 29 gallon as for lighting i use 2 par 38's and a 27 watt cree-led bar from rapid led. I have a HOB fuge with chaeto, and a aqua c nano skimmer which i ussually run all the time. Flow is provided by an Evo 1050 and a 240 nano which are connected to a wave maker alternating current every 5 seconds. The acan is in a corner away from direct flow and light. I placed it in a tupperware container with plastic mesh over the top to keep my shrimp from picking at it. I do have sugar sized sand which does result in a sand storm whenever i play around with anything in the aquarium. My current paremeters are-
SG- 1.026 / 35 ppt
Temp- 75-78 lately due to an insuffecient heater, i just got a new heater today which should keep it at 80
Nitrate-0
Phosphate-0
Ph-8.2
dKH- 8
Calcium-440 ppm
I need to know what is going on to be causing my new acan to be withering away. Could it have been the fluctuating temps or maybe the sand? My sps are all fine though so i have no idea.... Thanks

I made a bad mistake last week brought home a 6 inch acan colony that was under 250 watt mh and put him up too high in my leds and melting him away in 5 days all the other ones I started at the bottom and for some reason thinking it was under 250 watt mh that I would be safe, lesson learned everything tarts at the bottom now.

I had placed it on the bottom to begin with, originally near the middle, but now near the side, so I don't think it is too much light.

I run LED's and had to place my acans on the bottom slightly under a rock before they bounced back. They really don't like a lot of light.
