There are a dozen species of Acanthastrea and they all have different requirements. You'll want to be more specific of which type of Acan you are looking to get.
With the amount of lighting your running, you should be able to put most Acanthastrea anywhere. In my experience, some grow better under brighter lighting, but show better coloration under lower lighting with a high Kelvin rating.
For fleshy Acanthastrea like A.lordhowensis, low to medium flow. You don't want to flow to be direct, so the coral can't expand.
For harder, bony Acanthastrea like A.echinata, medium flow is good.
Growth depends not only on the species, but also if it was a tank raised coral or wild coral. In my experience, Tank raised Acans are already adjusted to aquarium life, and grow faster than wild Acans. Tank raised are usually stronger, and more forgiving, if the aquarist makes a mistake or two. I've seen whole wild colonies perish from mistakes or stress.
