Hi all, how quickly are these corals likely to grow, and how will they grow, will they spread or develop in a ball?

I have one about twice the size I just inherited

I just aquired one like this about 2 times larger. I'm new with acans--- i'll keep an eye on its progress and update it here

The ones I had started slowly, then kind of exploded. I kept mine on the sand & they would get really plump. Unfortunately a few of my fish liked the taste of them. I got rid of a few fish, but I finally just sold the acans.

Acans, once settled will expand with new polyps by the outer edge.
This is an LPS that has a great feeding response, I use thawed Mysis, directly squirted onto the polyps once a week.
Be cautious of peppermint shrimps with Acans.

Medium to lower light and placement, medium flow at best, really nice coral and easy to keep.

Keep MG,CA and ALK on point.

Given time & fed they will eventually grow into nice huge balls of heads. Also safe to put next to ea. other also as they don't have sweeper tentacles, even if the other Acans are a different type. I have 3 types of Acans plus Blastomussa all touching ea. other & no issues at all incase anyone is wondering about contact with other mellow corals.

Found mine do best at the bottom but under full lighting otherwise they would not extend fully or grow much.
