Hey folks

I saw this very nice acan in a LFS except that the exposed skeltons from dead polyps were fully covered with coralline. All of the live polyps look great full not detached and I don't mind the coralline skeltons - actually looks interesting, but I am wondering as the live polyps grow and multiply, would they cover the coralline skeltons? If they don't, I don't see how the colony would expand unless they calcify onto adjacent live rock. Have had other lps but not acans and was wondering about their growing habits. Let me know your experiences.

is it a lord?If so,I have found them to be amazingly resilient..they will grow polyps over dead skeletons or even simply grow more polyps without full support of any type.

yeah they should spread back over the old skeleton

acans are cool heres a few of mine

Most grow fast. Hardy coral. It encrust as it grows.
