i haven't really changed anything in the tank for awhile and haven't added much lately. i did add a small 2-3 eyed chalice like 3 weeks ago, but it's on the other side of my 28 gallon tank. the zoas around the chalice are doing ok.

any ideas?

My acan did this for a while... cant say for sure but looks like it wants more light some acans like more light i had to actually move my around because one didnt like light and the other did

Are you running carbon? Your leathers could be having a chemical warfare with the rest of your tank. Acans usually like to be on the sandbed with a moderate flow, lighting isn't as important to acans as good water parameters and a moderate flow.

What are your parameters? Full set please.

yes i am running carbon and a tiny bit of GFO.

sorry for the really delayed response, it's been busy. i ended up doing a 30% water change, plucked out all the algae around the acans and so far everything looks ok!

i appreciate the feedback from everyone. i'm going to do some more 30% changes once per week for awhile to try and see if i can get things back in order based on feedback. i'm going to try to test parameters with that too.

Thanks again!
