only if you feed them... I have several acans growing well in low nut. tank. I feed them raw shrimp chunks. I get about 1-2 new buds per pol per month.

If you target feed them, they will grow quicker, if not, they will maintain, but not have too much new growth.

I have to mini "colonies" of acans in a low nutrient system. I spot feed them fauna Marin LPS food once a week to two weeks and they are doing just fine. I haven't noticed any new growth in the month that I have had them but the polyps (aka heads) are a lot bigger than they used to be. Recently everything in my tank has been taking off in growth so I know it's only a matter of time before the acans do as well.

I have never tried spot feeding them with that but as long as they take it I don't see why not. I've also fed mysis shrimp and they took that as well.
Did you pick up anything from the frag swap?? I stopped by there and saw a lot of beautiful acans available. Didn't get any of them though, instead I came home with two SPS frags.

I have two huge acro colonies and up and coming red planet and pink Milli frags. Sps wasn't on my list this time. But I did come home with 3 acans. One beautiful rainbow for a $30 steal. And a few Zoas from Josh.

Awesome!! That's a good deal and the acan. Post pics when you can! If you end up fragging let me know. Maybe I'll take some off of your hands.

So here is the one I got from JoshPorkSandwich.. Most of my Zoas are from him, so this time I got some of his son's Acans... he hooked it up, multiple heads for $25...
