Acanth & Micro ID source?

Is there a book/site out there that has organized all the names used with these corals? Often it seems that people just make many of these common names up, but there is some order it seems. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Great site! But I was wondering if anyone has organized the "common" names on Acanth's like Zoaid.com has for zoa's?

Sorry, not that I know of. Common name for acanthastrea are a few actually; moon coral, brain coral, pineapple coral, hence the problem with them, and it gets just as misinterpreted with "commoners naming" there corals as well. But I better stop right there :)

Justin, if I read his question right, he's asking for a site that lists all the "given" names, like Pink Floyd, etc.

To my knowledge, no site exists yet :(

But now that you gave that as an example :D We all saw how it looked on the sight as the "given" name. Now imagine trying to cross reference something like that with whats sittin in your tank or your buddies ;)

I know there is talk of a micro ID site but nothing so far. If you need help with an ID, just ask here. There are a bunch of micro owners that would be more then happy to help.=)
