Folks,

I just removed a couple of Acanthastrea echinata from my tank, and they need a home.

One is dark with speckles. The other is gray with some polyps that are 1/2 orange. Really orange. In my tank the orange polyps seemed to grow in the shade - direct light turns them gray. All told, at least 10 fat polyps between them. But here's the rub...

I was given these - did not buy them. And no matter how I place them, their nocturnal sweepers wind up killing coral. So take them at your own risk. With room they can be fine. In a nano they are killers.

First PM willing to pick up at my house in Westport gets them.

I took the time to look up the Acan echinata with the orange in my records of all the livestock in my tank. It's an "Orange Crush". Though is it not all orange. Maybe different conditions?
