Access to the back of a 210 tank?

I am about to set up a 210 tank in my family room. The wall that the tank will be on is the back wall to the garage. I could do one of 3 things:
1. Cut open the wall to the garage so I can access the back of the tank
2. Push the tank up against the back wall and not have any access to the back of the tank
3. Pull the tank 1 foot off the wall and build a small fish room to the side of the tank - no more than 3 feet wide. This would give me some access behind the tank to clean the glass, etc.

What does everyone think would work best? I just purchased a SEIO controller, so I won't be doing a closed loop.

I should have enough space in the stand for my sump (55G) and the calcium reactor.
I would love to have extra space to store extra water jugs and other misc. equipment. I just worry that a 3 foot wide room would be more aggrevating than having nothing though.

My 210 is about 6 inches from the wall. If I go from either side, I can reach the whole back.

TBH I rarely go back there.

For me, 6 in is plenty of space.

I am in the middle of setting up a 210 gal. tank in my den. The wall that the tank backs up to is my garage. I set up two 100 gal. rubbermaid tubs in the garage for sump/refug. I haven't thought about leaving some access space behind the tank, but it is a good idea.

My 210 is about 5" off the wall. I have no problems accessing the back glass from the front. I use a long handled scraper from Kent Marine to clean the glass. There is nothing else I need to do from the back that can't be done from either the top, sides, or from the bottom inside the stand.

Setting up our 300 now ,tank will also be against garage wall. I put 2 doors in the wall so if we need to get behind the tank we can just open a door in the garage.
