Also, can we all take a minute to really appreciate the description of that light on Amazon?

Perfect Color Ratio:Blue:white=28:27.Blue light can promote producing the amount of Vitamins D3 which will help coral absorb Calcium so that coral will appear more brighter color.Blue light is suitable for coral, platypus, shrimp and other creatures; Red light can promote healthy growth of the fish in red(such as Red goldfish, discus fish).Suitable for a 24″*24″*24" fish coral tank.

The various colors of your fishes will be more realistic, lively and lovely under the exposure of our LED aquarium light.Aquarium light can also make the water transparent, clear while promoting the photosynthesis of grass, and promote the growth and development of aquatic plants. It only provides your aquatic plants with all the spectrum they need, bad light is not included to make sure safety for human body.

Thank god the light promotes vitamin d3 and is suitable for both my coral and my platypus.

It is also great that my fish will look more realistic and that my water will become transparent.

I also am grateful they have my well being in mind and did not include lights that are bad for the human body.

so my ligths are bad ? and well i lowered the percentage to blues 35 whites 30

i give my corals 12 hours of ligth with the original ligthing should i cut back on the hours thank you for the replies

I had similar lights in a 36 bowfront and had to turn the intensity way down to about 5% on each and I only ran them for about 8 hours. Every time I tried to bump them up, they'd close up. I now have a kessil A360 and my corals love these lights much better.

at the moment i cant afford a kessil :hmm2:

i will just wait and try to figure out when to keep turning the ligth intensity higher and higher
i only want to turn blue higther and keep the white at 30 percent

Used to run a similar light on my 21gal RSRN, I eventually got the blues up to 90%. I started at 50% blues and turned them up 5% every 2 weeks. The whites I never went above 25% on, started at 10%. Never had any issues with my SPS and the few LPS/softies I have, they grew fantastic under this light far better than the Kessil I had before.
