acclimating Trachyphyllia radiata

I'm picking up my first brain coral tomorrow: Trachyphyllia radiata. After I acclimate, is it ok to dip in Revive for a few minutes? I've heard that this might not be a great idea. Advice? Thanks for any tips.

OK, thanks a lot. ReVive directions say to dip for "a few minutes up to 15 minutes." That's a big spread of time - how long would you recommend?

Also, I assume the strength recommended - 4 capfuls/gallon of salt water - is ok or should I do half dose? Can you tell my anxiety is a bit high...

Thanks for the lighting tip.

I leave my corals in for 15 min sometimes even a little longer, I also mix it up a little stronger than reccomened and never had a problem, so don't be worried about mixing it at full strength.

IME I wouldnt mix stronger than recommended. I know LPS are SPS, but I have had Revive dip at its recommended dose cause acros to RTN and be gone in 3 hrs.

But I still think the dip I got was stronger than usual. A normal recommended dose on the bottle makes my container completely cloudy and you cant see in it.
