Acclimation - How To Use

this post refers to the acclimation function in ProfiLux (Firmware 6.15 or higher) and in Mitras LX (Firmware 1.18 or higher)

We have been asked a few times how to use the new acclimation function, so I want to give a brief description here:

With the acclimation function ProfiLux or Mitras is able to change the brightness of your tank illumination automatically over a period of time from day to day.

You just enter the dates where this should start and end and you set the percentage at the beginning and the end.

ProfiLux (or Mitras) calculates the dimming for every day and reduces the existing illumination settings accordingly. 100% means no change at all, with 0% all lamps are completely off. Or in other words: The dimming-factor of the acclimation, which is calculated day by day, is multiplied with the "normal" illumination settings.

It doesn't matter if you want to increase or decrease the brightness over a few days. Just enter the percentages and dates as wished - ProfiLux (Mitras) does the rest.

Here is a screenshot which illustrates this quite good:

Absolutely and thanks as this was one of the items I requested not so long ago. Again thank you for such an amazing product. Now if I can just learn to stop touching my project I think everything will be fine Lol.

that was not necessary

you have to activate the acclimation in the ProfiLux

as soon as Mitras is slave the ProfiLux illumination settings are relevant, not the Mitras settings

it is the same option, the same menu at the same location compared to Mitras

the acclimation function is brand new, ProfiLux firmware 6.15 is required, see post #1
maybe you don't have 6.15 and thats why you don't see the new function in GCC?

if you are not sure if you can do a ProfiLux upgrade without issues I strongly recommend to wait until Monday - so help is available just in case something goes wrong!
(we all don't want a weekend drama)

got it thanks it works perfectly, I found it under the ghl control center LOl but i do have 6.15
just couldn't find it in the drop downs screens, But i did find it under illumination tab in ghl control center and then scrolling all the way to the bottom. I selected 50% with today's date and ramping up to 80% in 30 days worked as designed perfectly :)

weekend drama is the worst LOL
