what is the prefer method everybody does?

should I do the drip
or
just let them built up a good slime then put in the tank

i drip fish, corals get taken out of the bag and dipped and thrown in the tank. not need to acclimate imo. i haven't lost a recently introduced frag in over a year, and have gotten 75+ since then.

Alright I going to try the slime up method today.
I just scored some acros today will be trying out to see what happens.

Thanks fellas.

i used to drip and then someone told me about letting them slime i have done it to 15 frags and havent had any problems yet

Dumb question. How do you make them slime?

Hmmmm. Don't know about sliming, but I just temperature acclimate and then just sit it down on the sand. Never lost anyfrag/colony yet. I do it on any corals.

I pull them out of the bag, let them expose to air for about 4 minutes or so, throw them in an interceptor bath. Exam the base for AEFW eggs and Q-tine!!!!

Then I throw them into the display.

In the 9 years that I've kept SPS, I have never dripped acclimated them and never seen an immediate STN/RTN. If a coral dies on me it happens about a week or two later *or just out of the blue for no apparent reason*.

to get them to slime you let them air dry and as the coral dries they produce a slime coat to portect them selfs as they would in natural tidal zones

i use a turkey baster and put a aquirt full in th bag every 10 min ffor 1 hr then i put a pump of tropic marin coral cure mix an dlet it sit for 20 min. Rince and place in tank...

make sure you dip your corals before you put them in your tank...

by letting ur coral air dry would that kill most of the pest such RB, Flat worms etc?

No, that would be too easy! You can see the AEFW's better.
