Accuracy of the Red Sea PRO test kits?

I just got these test kits. I got the Mag, Alk and Calcium as well as the phosphates. Does anyone have any experience with them? I was testing high in everything except the phosphates. Alk around 10 when i have not been dosing anything, calc at around 560 and mag around 1700. Again, not dosing anything. I found an issue with my IO salt mix. Mag was 2200! along with high alk and calcium. I was wondering is anyone else has compared the results of this test kit to a more dependable one like salifert or hanna.

i have red sea cal and alk test kits along with salifert and hanna checkers and i have compared them all against eachother. they are all in same ball park range.
example: last test about a month ago

R S cal:420 alk:7
Sal cal:440 alk:7
Hanna cal:436 alk:7.15

Have been using the red sea kits for a few months with no problems. Have you compared to another test kit or taken a sample to your LFS?

thanks, that's a little relieving. I just returned my kit with new ones. hopefully these will be more accurate.

My Red Sea kit gives results very similar to my friends Salifert kit.

I would choose Red Sea though because they don't make you buy the whole kit again because you quickly ran out of "Magnesium Solution B" or something. They sell titrant separately. :)

I'm going to mix up some stock solution to test. I wish they made small packets of mag, calc and all solution to test against like they make.for ph to calibrate probes.
