Achilles Tang

Hi all.

Having a few problems with my bristletooth tang at the mo and have really taken a fancy to the achilles tang. What's their temprament like generally? My current Tang is really aggressive towards other fish - especially my Gobies and Blennies.

I want one too, but....I have read that they need lots of swimming room and a very high quality environment. Not positive, but I am pretty sure that they are very aggresive. Good luck!

Achillies tang will (sorry) try to kill your bristle and grow out of your tank OOOOOOOOOR it will not do anything to your bristle tooth cause it is in shock from being caught and it will die. you need a 210 7-8ft long at least for this type of fish . please post you question on the fish page they know much more and will be able to help you understand the need of this amazing Tang

They are very active Fish that will make the whole tank his territory, If healthy when purchased chances of survival increase, they are a magnet for Ich and require a large tank 225+ gal with a lot of flow. Love to swim against water stream. Once recognice the owner they behave like a pet trying to please.
Recomend the presence of cleaner shrimp, feeding nory and garlic plus various fresh fleshy and flake foods. Also require pristine water conditions in a very stable tank.
Will flash and dominate any other tangs. Usually will not bother other species.

They need a larger than than you 100 gallon. They need lots of swimming room and LOTS of flow along with pristine water conditions.
