Acid and Water...

What is the proper way to mix acid and water, I forgot. Is it adding water to the acid, or adding acid to the water?

Acid to water. The bulk of the water serves to cool and dilute the entering acid.

Thanks Randy. We were discussing this @ work the other day and had thought it was acid to water, but you add water to the sulfuric acid in a car battery. Not really reef related... sorry. Curious, just the same though.

Yes, but there is no way around that order. It is necessary but not optimal.
