ACIII and authenticated email setup

Is it possible to use authentication for the outgoing email server with the AquaControlerIII? If not, would a future firmware upgrade include this feature?

Thx,

While we are at it.
How about the ability to assign the web interface to a port other than port 80. Damn charter blocks inbound port 80.

Since there is only one outgoing email address, there really isn't a pressing need for authentication. Simply look up the smtp server for the destination email address, and put that in the smtp server name for the 3 Pro. One website to lookup the mx record is http://www.xav.com/mx_lookup.pl. Different http ports, authentication, and multiple destination email addresses are on the feature enhancement list for the 3 Pro.

Things that are in the works:
- email authentication
- multiple email alarm addresses
- probe expansion box.
- enhance power fail syntax.
- enhanced control port diagnostics

Thanks for the info.

How about IP packet encryption for use on a wireless network? I don't know anything about it, but a friend suggested that unless that is enabled on the AC3 then anyone can see my network and easily hack it.

That is the responsibility of the bridge. Get a ethernet to 802.11 bridge that has WEP or better WPA encryption.
