wat's the idol parameter out of ca reactor ? what are the things i should be looking for ? PH...etc

if i want to control it with my controller ? what are my settings shoudl be ?

ph > 6.7 on
ph< 6.7 off ...etc things like that..

thank you .

I will check my settings tonight to see if I cant help out. I had a setting for the calcium reactor and my kalk reactor to keep the ph balanced.

We run our Ca reactor with our ACIII using the following code set;

If Time > 00:00 Then CO2 ON
If pH < 07.90 Then CO2 OFF
If pH2 < 06.75 Then CO2 OFF
Max Change 010 M Then CO2 OFF

pH is the pH in display
pH2 is the pH of the effluent from our reactor.

I wouldn't recommend using the same pH value for your on and off commands. You need some dead-band between the values to keep the solenoid from cycling erratically.

opps, sorry it's not ACIII, it's Aqua controller Jr. which means i only have 1 ph probe.

ph>6.75 on
ph<6.60 off

and i try to do 5-6 sec/ bubble, still the ph from reactor stays around 7.1 , which means it never turn off, and keep lowing the ph in my main tank...

Where is your pH probe? Based on those numbers, I assume you are strictly looking at the reactor effluent? Otherwise, we need to rethink your on/off points.

Are you running a single chamber or dual chamber reactor and which media is loaded?

it's a single chamber koralin. i have small cup for the water of out the reator and that's where the ph probe is reading from.

ok..right now i have the 1 bubble every 2 secs, and decrease the water flow, but still the ph is reading 6.8-7 , is there anything else i can do to lower the PH to standard 6.7

Koralin 1502
I use drip rate of 40 Per Minute and bubble rate 10 Per Minute
That seems to be the most used setting. To lower pH you up the bubble rate or lower the Drip rate.

how long are you letting it go for before testing? Its going to a little while to get everything dialed in correcntly

yah 6 sec pre bubble is the standard setting , but i tried that for 2 days , ph stays at 7.2+ with 6sec pre bubble.

i have ph probe in the collector cup, and the reactor is been running for 4 days now, i started to play with it after ran it for 2 days with 6 sec/ bubble.

You might be making this more difficult than it is. Each reactor and system setup will be a little different. There isn't a magic set of numbers for dialing in a Ca reactor.

For example, we run at 50 bubbles/min with an effluent rate of nearly 140 drips/min (nearly a small stream) to keep up with our SPS loading and dual chambers reactor.

The beauty of running a probe in your effluent is that you can dial up your CO2 a little more than usual and the controller will shut it off before you hit a meltdown point on your media.

Depending on your loading, you might start with 1 drip/second and adjust the CO2 rate until it maintains the pH you want via the controller.

ic...that means i'll just have to play with it,cuz i'm still cycling it, and it's just the 9th day, so i was thinking if i could just set everything up b4 i actully put anything in.

that's a bad idea... if there isn't anything in your tank right now, what's going to consume the alk and CA? your supposed to dial a CA reactor in with regards to how much is actually needed.

u only need the ca reactor running if your corals are consuming the alk and ca, otherwise both will just continue to increase. Honestly, you probably won't even need to run your reactor until your tank is moderately stocked.
