aciii, ethernet, bridge settings

I have recently installed a newer router wrt54ag v2.2 and had to change ip address to 192.168.2.1 - I have wep and ssdi changed as well

Last night linksys chat helped me configure my new wet54Agv3 bridge to match my routers config - i.e. changed ip to 192.168.2.226, matched ssid and wep and all seems well in that I can access the router and bridge

But she hung up before she told me any specifics about how to get the above to recognize the aciii device which is going into the wet54

I can change this aciii's ip, netmask, default gateway - but do not know what settings to use

right now I can not bring up the web based interface and

does the aciii have a mac address?

aquanotes is not seeing the aciii either.

I can successfully ping the router and bridge

Any help on this would be appreciated - thanks

On the AquaController change the IP address to 192.168.2.50 (make sure the last number is unique). Netmask is 255.255.255.0. Gateway is 192.168.2.1. Be sure to reboot/restart the controller after making the changes. You should then be able to access the controller from your browser at 192.168.2.50.

thanks - i did all this so apparently i still have some work to do on the bridge - in your experience does wep enabled cause any glitches?

Yes, wep can cause problems if not properly configured. Can you bring up the configuration screen of the bridge on your browser?

Curt

yes

If your bridge has a ping test see if you can ping the AquaController. Both the green and yellow light on the AquaController's ethernet connector should be on.

i tried to ping the controller and pinging was successful - just not sure what ultimately got pinged as - so i tried to access it - 192.168.2.50 (i had to change it to jive with the router and bridge) and a linkysy-like login appeared instead of the ac111 web html - wierd

the green and yellow light are both on - i had a chat with linksys and they suggested some things to try when i get home

taled with linksys

taled with linksys

after talking with linksys - all I did was change the default DNS on ac111 to match routers - but more importantly probably is after making all the settings last night I should have rebooted the pc,router, bridge, etc and even in a certain order

anyway, now I am getting to the web-based ac111 html

but aquanotes is still not connecting. I wonder if I need to make settings within aquanotes taking into consideration that I changed ac111 manually - the only setting I see to change is the IP which I did make but aquanotes is still not seeing the ac111 - any suggestions would be appreciated.

This stuff just isn't plug and play (the routers and bridges).

Then I can concentrate on how to get to the ac111 from the outside world

Re: taled with linksys

do you think i should reinstall aquanotes; do you think because the wireless connection is a little slower that we ned to make a setting for aquanotes to not time out on communicating to ac111 - it does not say it times out - its just that ac111 web based html takes longer than just instant to get up

The only thing you need to change AquaNotes is IP address at the bottom of the config tab of the database-tank database window.

Curt

I had done that so I guess I need your help getting aquanotes to see the ac111
