ACIII Pro Problem

I am currently running the ACIII Pro. Two days ago I started having a major problem. One of the things I am currently using the controller for is to monitor the tank temp and turn on and off the heaters and chillers. While 2 days ago the unit started to go wacky. One minute it would show the tank temp at 85 degree and then in a couple of seconds it would have the temp at 62 degrees. So based on this it would turn the chillers on and then back off and the same with the heaters. The thing that I can't figure out is that once I reset everything it will run fin for several hours then it starts turning the heaters and chillers on and off again. There has not been anything new installed on the aquarium for about 6 months. I switched the x10's to other equipment and they work fine. It is only happening with the chillers and heaters and it does not matter what x10 it is connected to.

I have disconnected the heaters and the chillers from the controller and have them running on there own temperature settings for now.

Any suggestions on what is happening here.

It sounds like the temperature probe has a problem. Are the other probes reading correctly? Any corrossion on the connector? If you unplug the temperature probe the 3Pro should display a temperature at about 20 to 25F.

Curt,

Are the other probes reading correctly? Yes
Any corrosion on the connector? No
If you unplug the temperature probe the 3Pro should display a temperature at about 20 to 25F. After I unplugged the probe the temperature on the controller dropped to 27F and stayed there.
