ACiii Problems Won't turn outlets off

Hey Guys,
I just moved my setup yesterday and re wired all electronics. I installed a new light yesterday with T-5 and MH as well as LED. So I needed to adjust my programs to accomodate.

So now my controller turns on each piece of equipment as scheduled but won't turn it off. The status says the outlet is off but it is still on when I go look at it. I have tried to move outlets, etc and it does it on all outlets.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Have you checked your connections for the control wires to make sure they are seated properly? That'd be the first thing I'd check. Check at the base and at the DC - I'd physically unplug and re-insert on each end to be sure connections are solid. Next thing I would suggest trying would be to try rebooting the AC3. Also, have you tried turning things off manually to see if that portion works?

I will try and reset again. I had to establish a new IP address and once I did this and reset the unit, this problem occurred. I have unplugged and re plugged the control wire to the DC8 and I can't turn off even manually.

Still acting weird. I reset the unit, when the LED's turned on this morning, the T-5's decided to turn on as well instead of at 11:00. I checked the controller and the aquanotes said the T-5 was OFF but I was sitting there looking at them on. Then I couldn't manually turn them off. I have to unplug them. Which is a serious problem since I am moving to Florida and my wife will be in charge of the tank for the next month.

Any other suggestions?

Do you have the DC's on surge suppressors? I had similar instances of other lights turning on due to interference. Make sure the AC3 is away from any ballasts/other such inductive loads and put all your DC's on power strip/surge suppressors. You may also want to try re-loading the firmware. I'd even recommend going so far as to back up your program, reset the unit to factory default, then reload firmware before putting the programming back in.

Thanks for the info, on my new setup, the halide ballasts are right near the ACiii controller so that might be interfering with the controller. I will try moving it now. I will keep you posted. Thanks

did you get your issue fixed?

a lot of time, Ballasts (MH or T5) won't cycle with an electronic (solid state) relay..

make sure that all ballasts are plugged into spots #4 or #8 on the DC8/EB8 (#2 or #4 on a DC4/EB4)
